On a Mission
Awopbopaloobop is a new site under development which will aim to give musicians and music lovers everything on one site. it will be written, directed and produced by people who are passionate about music in all it’s forms. Any music-related arts will also be covered.
initially we are aiming at 40 somethings as most of the initial core staff are forty-something themselves, but we do hope to youth up as things progress.
we hope to feature material contributed by some of the most influential names from the music world, from over the last 50 years and we already have several luminaries preparing stuff as we speak.
we are willing to consider contributions from anyone as we are anxious that the views and opinions as well as the musical art of everybody gets a chance to be heard.
in layout we are aiming very much to replicate the style of the NME and Melody Maker from the seventies when they served as a sort of religious guide to life for many of us. these days i find that most music mags/papers are more like Hello with guitars.
